Our Credentialing Maintenance Plan ensures the ongoing validity and accuracy of healthcare providers' qualifications and enrollment status with insurance payers. It involves regularly updating and verifying information to prevent claim denials, ensure continued participation in networks, and maintain compliance with regulations. Our key components include tracking expirables(licenses, certifications, and malpractice coverage). Included in our maintenance plan are performing CAQH Updates and Attestation every 120 days, Directory Maintenance every 90 days, and Address Updates or Deletions when needed. We take HIPAA Security very seriously and only use a HIPAA-secure platform. Smartsheet for Healthcare Professionals is a HIPAA-compliant platform that tracks all key components, including expirables. Alerts will be sent 45 days in advance to the email on file notifying you (the healthcare clinician) of an upcoming expiration of licenses, certifications, and malpractice coverage. This will allow you (the healthcare clinician) sufficient time to renew.

Healthcare providers are solely responsible for maintaining and updating their information in the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES). While a credentialing organization verifies a provider's qualifications, providers are legally required to report any changes to their NPPES data within 30 days.
This is a legal obligation. Failure to update information may lead to non-compliance with the NPI Final Rule, with potential complaints filed against non-compliant providers. Healthcare providers failure to update their NPPES data will also result in credentialing and contracting delays with payors.
